PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE

WR60/WR80 SERIES MANUAL VALVE

OVERVIEW

The WR60/WR80 Series offers three diameters: 4″ (102mm), 5″ (127mm), and 6″ (152mm) for both air-to-raise (AR) on 1.5″ – 4″ (38mm – 102mm) W61 valves and air to lower (AL) on 2″ – 4″ (51mm – 102mm) W63 valves. For strength and durability, the Tef-Flow P or metal seats are required. For clean-in-place applications (CIP), a piston in the actuator allows opening of the valve. This is all done without having to over pressure it. The valve reseats in place after relieving or CIP is complete.

  • Positive-Stop engages with the sealed cap to lock in the setting
    • Prevents overloading of the spring
  • Cracking pressure adjustment ranges from zero (fully unloaded) to maximum published holding pressure of standard, heavy-spring actuators

60R SERIES MANUAL VALVE

OVERVIEW

The 60R Series is versatile, durable, compact, and easy to operate. It’s a manually adjustable relief valve intended for pipeline protection.

  • Manually adjustable, lockable cap for setting the relief pressure
  • 316L sanitary construction with No. 4 internal polish
  • Choice of seats: 
    • PTFE O-ring or metal
  • Choice of spring pressures:

60R SERIES

  • The product pushes against the plug of the valve stem. The stem is held in the closed position by the spring. It’s adjusted in holding force by an external lockable cap.
  • Each spring has a force range, and that force is dependent upon how much it is compressed. The more compression, the higher the pressure at which the valve will open.
  • Choose the spring rating large enough to comfortably achieve the desired setting without compressing the spring down to the stack height. To limit the stroke of the valve, the adjustable cap has to be tightened to the maximum pressure.
  • For cleaning, unload the valve by turning the cap and backing off the spring pressure.

Butterfly Valves offer great durability and ease of use for a wide range of services. Easy to install and maintain, butterfly valves close under pressure to form a leak-tight seal. We stock several brands of butterfly valves including SPX FLOW, VNE, and QSM Tru-Flo.

BALL VALVES

OVERVIEW

Ball valves offer great economy and durability for a wide range of applications. They do not require clean-in-place (CIP) service, and they are easy to install and maintain. Ball valves have a full ported, straight-through design. This design frees the flow path from obstructions. As a result, pressure drops across the valves are reduced, and there is no change in elevation for piping through the valve. This allows efficient and safe production or cleaning processes in the food, beverage, dairy, industrial, and chemical industries. We stock several brands of ball valves including SPX FLOW, VNE, and QSM Tru-Flo.

AIR BLOW CHECK VALVE

62B SERIES MANUAL VALVE

OVERVIEW

The 62B Air Blow Check Valves are “plug-style”. This means that the air pressure pushes the bonded rubber plug away from the seat.

  • Absence of air pressure
    • Spring returns the plug
      • Holds it closed against the seat
  • Must be used with the incorporated filter disc and suitable air to be in contact with the product
    • For 3A applications
  • Estimated air volume usage 
    • Depends upon the pipeline vessel to be evacuated
  • Rated up to 1600 Ft3/hour (45 m3/hour) air flow

BALL CHECK VALVE

W45BY SERIES MANUAL VALVE

OVERVIEW

Ball Check Valves have a 316L stainless steel body with a curved offset ball trap.

  • Well suited for applications where there is pulsing flow
    • Should not be used for sticky, adhesive products/those with excessive viscosities
      • Where the ball can be held in the offset tube
  • Horizontal installations
    • Curved offset must be upright and perpendicular to the plane of the pipeline
      • For free-draining/proper ball seating
  • Product flow pushes the ball up into the trap and out of the product stream
    • For full diameter flow
  • Uses larger diameter balls
    • Eliminates the possibility of jamming the ball in the product tube
  • Vertical installations are preferred 
  • A minimum liquid pressure is required to seal the ball

PLUG VALVE

OVERVIEW

Plug valves have a long service history of sanitary valves still in common use. They are manually operated and easy to use. Plug valves consist of a stainless steel body and a conical plug. The plug is rotated in the body to stop or divert the flow.

The 40CF-AR Series is designed to operate as a CIP return air relief. It operates against either the vacuum or the positive pressure. The valve should be mounted vertically for proper operation.

  • Compact and mounted in an S-Line Clamp Connection
  • 16AMP-AR relieves air/vapor pressure
  • Most commonly used on the inlet of a Centrifugal Pump 
    • When the pump is operating

40 CF-AR SERIES

  • In suction lines when the 40CF-AR valve is under vacuum
    • Ball is pulled down against the bottom seat and seals against air entry
  • When the vacuum is relieved in the process line
    • Ball loses its seal on the bottom seat, and any air in the process line is allowed to pass through the body of the valve and out of the system.
  • When flooded with liquid
    • Floating nylon ball is held closed against the upper seat by pressure
  • Should the process line fill with air
    • Body of the valve will also fill with air
    • Ball falls from the top seat
