C-SERIES CENTRIFUGAL PUMP
OVERVIEW
The C series centrifugal pump offers a strong performance at a competitive price. The C series is considered the “lower spectrum of heavy-duty, centrifugal pump applications”. Able to withstand elevated inlet pressures, this centrifugal pump can be installed in a process system without seal failure.
304 stainless steel adapters – helps eliminate rust, corrosion,
and paint chipping.
Longer seal life – the wave spring provides a more uniform loading on seal face than a single coil spring. Hydraulic balancing reduces sealing surface pressures for less wear and less downtime.
Fast & easy take down –
quick-opening requires no tools. A heavy-duty cast clamp secures the pump’s casing, and the impeller pin is retained by centrifugal force.
Tested performance – every pump
passes strict testing procedures before being sold.
Casing matches job – choose from a standard or enlarged inlet with port connections that meets your piping system.
CIP capability – grooves in the shaft and impeller helps distribute CIP chemical solutions to all critical areas for proper in place cleaning.

Seals
External Balanced Seal:
This seal is used in a broad spectrum of sanitary and industrial applications. The versatile and dependable carbon seal makes the Type D a perfect fit for most applications.
Clamped-in Seal Seat:
This seal is ideal for
applications where resistance to corrosion is required or for abrasive or non lubricating products. The DG utilizes Type D rotating seal components;
however, the seal seat material is silicon carbide, and is reversible for extended
seat life.
Double Mechanical Seal:
This double mechanical seal
can be pressurized with a flush media and discharged to drain. It is ideal for applications such as vacuum, high temperature, abrasive or non-lubricating.
External Balanced, Water Cascade Seal:
Seal type F is requierd for pumping products that reach 212°F (100°C) or vacuum over 14″ Hg (355mm Hg). The additional water cascading assembly continually flushes the seal area.
Note: DG, F and E seal not available on C-100.

Front Loading Seal LF Series
is a Maintenance Dept Favorite
Ampco’s LF series front loading seal design allows for improved cleaning and maintenance.
Do you have sticky or tacky products that leak during processing due to build-up? Ampco has removed the traditional O-ring groove and dad zoned and replaced i with a semi-exposed O-ring that prevents leaking and build up. With this series of centrifugal pump, product can freely flow through the process line.
The pump’s rotating seal stays connected in the driver during the assembly process for easier maintenance.
Harsh products work great in the LF series pump due to balanced impellers, a self-aligning shaft design, tight manufacturing tolerances, minimized vibration and improved seal life.
The LF Series is a highly efficient pump that gently handles product while providing a more sanitary seal design than competing pumps.
Cryogenic Low Temp Applications. CBD hemp oil or Cannabidiol is fast becoming a mainstream ingredient for beverages, health products, gels, and other consumables products. The extraction process of these valuable oils can require pumping ethanol at temperatures as low as -70F (-56C). Ampco has designed a special seal for positive displacement and centrifugal pumps that are suitable for these extremely low temperatures.
The LF Series centrifugal pump series with its internal seal design is a smart choice for this application providing durability, efficiency and tremendous maintenance advantages.
