VT+/HT+ SERIES

OVERVIEW

The APV VT+/HT+ Series heat exchangers provide a wide variety of medium viscosity products. These products provide exceptional performance for heating or cooling. The products that can be produced include soups, dips, sauces, creams, soft cheese, chocolate, fruit / vegetable purees, baby food, fats and oils. This series are available as vertical (VT+) or horizontal (HT+) models.

The process starts as the product flows through an inner tube. The inner tube is surrounded by a jacket, and this jacket contains the heating or cooling medium. Blades are attached to the shaft in a staggered configuration, and they continuously remove product from the heat transfer tube walls. The purpose of this is to increase heat transfer efficiency, reduce fouling, and ensure long run-times.

  • The SSHE cylinder has only one shaft seal
    • Located on the drive end at the bottom of the cylinder
  • The shaft seal is a double mechanical cartridge seal
    • Designed for water or steam flushing (aseptic design)
  • The VT+660 and VT+680 modules are provided with a manually operated lifting device
    • Lifts cylinder and dasher free of the shaft seal
  • Cylinder and dasher are turned into horizontal position for inspection and service
  • The VT+422 and VT+460 units have support brackets on which the cylinder can be fixed temporarily during inspection and sevice of scraper blades, seals etc.
  • The dasher is driven from a tooth wheel gear
    • Powered by a high-efficient electric motor
      • Located under the SSHE base console

VOTATOR II HORIZONTAL

OVERVIEW

For more than 80 years, Votator heat exchangers have been replacing slow, inefficient batching operations. Instead they are replaced with more uniform, controllable and repeatable continuous processing. The Votator II incorporates the most popular features of the Thermutator and Votator lines. As a result, this makes it extremely easy to maintain. The Votator II and the Extra Heavy Duty Votator II replace the Thermutator and standard Votator units, and is also available as a vertical unit.

The Votator LD heat exchanger is designed to operate under harsh conditions where other heat exchanger technologies can fail or cannot sustain operational efficiency over a longer period. This series is designed to meet 3-A sanitary requirements. The Votator LD is used to heat or cool medium and high viscous products with or without particles.
